Into The Future We Go
Hi my name is Andrew Bautista and i'm 38 years old. I live Jamaica in Bob's old house with a son and wife. I have my own business and spend my free time teaching the young'uns how to skate and surf. We have a beater car but it runs.

I believe in the best sport in the world, skateboarding! Skating has always been my favorite thing to do since I was a shrimp.
I started at about six to seven years of age and couldn't ever put it down. My dad taught me down in San Diego when we lived there and we would always skate down to the beach and back. I remember when my dad and I decided to race down a hill, it was all bad. We both had gotten the wobbles and collided into each other, rolled a few times and ended up in a ditch. Everything was fine though. We gimped home and passed out.
It was New Years 2005. My two friends, mom, and I were going to the new indoor Vans Skatepark and we wanted to stop by the Gardnerville Park to warm up. I tried to boot over an eight foot table and came up short. I stepped down and compound fractured my ankle. I had six screws, two plates, and three surgeries. I was unable to skate for a year and a half. In the end though, I think it's good to fall every once in a while. You never want to break any bones, but you learn from your mistakes. Skating is almost my life.
I will always believe in skating until the day I die. This is a very good sport and a good stress reliever. If I were to ever have kids i hope that I could be there for them like my papas was for me.

The "WORD" On Salem
There are many things about Salem that are lame on many levels. There are way too many people on the roads, no jobs, and its constantly raining one day or another. But the days in the summer are awesome! There's camping, the beach, skating, watching chicks in there fresh bikini's... haha. That's about it though...

Hitchin' Trip
About 4 weeks before I started school here my friend Greg and I hitched down to Tahoe and stayed there for a couple weeks. We started in Salem and made it down to Sac. Town in a day, with 3 rides. Went to Carson City where my brother and dad lives and stayed there for a few days. Hit up the best skate park in NV. We left heading back to Salem and made it to Eugene at about 9:30 and couldn't get back home. We sat in the rain for 2 hours flying a sign, trying to get home. Finally we made at 2:30 in the morning. Good trip, lots of fun!

No Laws
If there were no laws in our country, there would be anarchy. I hate the laws that we have, and the laws that we don't, but if there were none to follow I think things would be hectic. There would be more crime and many more murders.
